Google’s New Keyword Research Tools
May 14th, 2009 | By CJ | Category: Web DevelopmentMy friend Scot, over at ScotStandke.com just wrote a post about Google’s new keywrod research tools. I was completely blown away and just had to race back here to tell you about it!
There are several features that Google has implemented to make keyword research drilling so much easier, but the one that really blew me away is something called the “Wonder Wheel.” It’s awesome.
First, go to Google and do a search. When your search results come up, look to the left of the bar just above the first result. You will see a link, “Show Options.”

Clicking on it will take you to a new page, where you will see some specific information about your search. Next click on “Wonder Wheel” on the left hand side:

And this is what I’m so jazzed about: a wheel and spokes mind map that makes it SO easy to drill down your keywords:

I’m embedding Google’s video here on the how-to and what’s-it-all-about.
Pay particular attention at 1:31 seconds. That’s where you’ll find info about the Wonder Wheel. Drilling down a keyword like this is awesome!
Knock yourself out playing with THIS new toy! I’m having a great time!
A Fun Fact...
