Google loves authority sites and any time one of your links shows up on an authority site, Google places more importance, and therefore, more weight, on your links. The more weight your links have, the better ranking your link destination will receive.

Squidoo (PR 7) and Hub pages (PR 6) have been around a very long time. As it happens, they are considered authority sites by Google. Their original purpose was to give people an easy way to make a webpage, without all the hassle that goes along with building a full-fledged website. They were around long before Google decided that authority sites were a good thing. They just fell into being the right kind of website at the right time, as do many things on the Internet. You never know what’s going to happen next on the Internet.

So a hub page and a lens are basically the same thing. It’s a single page dedicated to one subject (though you could talk about more than one thing—not recommended), and allows you to place links. As with posting articles to high PR article directories, having a high PR lens or hub page pointing back to your original GoArticles articles lends credence (read that, weight) to your ultimate destination.

So, here’s the plan. After your article marketing campaign, start building lens/hub pages that point back to the original 5 GoArticles articles you posted. With the other 100 article pointing to GoArticles and your new lenses/hub pages pointing to those articles, Google is going to think your GoArticles articles are gold, and give them a prime location on the SERPS. Getting to page one of a Google search page result is really this easy!

NOTE: Squidoo is starting to crack down on certain kinds of links and products being posted to their site, so DO READ the TOS. They don’t like for their lenses to point straight back to an affiliate product sales page. So, our method of pointing back to an article (that leads to an affiliate product or redirect page) is a great solution to this dilemma. They also are apparently getting tired of all the “Make Money Online” lenses that are being created, so if that’s what you’re promoting, avoid Squidoo—for the moment. As mentioned earlier, you never know what’s going to happen on the Internet on any given day. Squidoo could change their mind or some other little combination of gimmicks could happen that makes it possible once again to advertise money-making opportunities. In any case, if you are promoting something else entirely, Squidoo is an excellent place to go.

First, pushing your web site in other peoples’ forums doesn’t have it in mind spamming every forum you come across. Done properly, it is subtle and no-one will mind. In fact, the people who own the forums you are posting on will be delighted to have an active member. Done incorrectly and everyone will complain and you will be booted off the forum.

So what shouldn’t you be doing on someone else’s forum? Unless the topic of a forum is ultra-relevant, you shouldn’t open new forum threads with the idea of promoting your web site. Moderators will rapidly close the thread. If you suffer this a few times, you will perhaps lose your membership.

You would also not be replying to open threads simply with the intent of name dropping your web site. This can also upset the moderators and they are apt to remove your web site name and its links. They should even remove your posts and your logon.

So what may well you do? If your web site is extremely appropriate to the forum then you may be able to announce a new product within the forum. If in doubt, mention it at the outset in an existing thread and see if anyone objects to you opening a new thread.

But the main time you might find a site mention is in open threads. peep for people asking questions and in need of some help that your site or your understanding may perhaps bestow for them. maybe you provide accommodation around an event and they are hunting for that. Or potentially they are looking for hard to get presents and you sell a suitable idea. A mention of your site name in these instances is (usually) allowable. If so, then try it out. I’ve seen both of these done well and no-one minds. In signatures, the forum might block the link to the site from the search engines, but whenever you are posting replies your signature is seen. If you are posting repeatedly and become seen because an “expert”, then it’s apt that people will want to read more about what you say and that’s when the signatures come in useful.

Two: This is actually the flip side of One. People who really want the information you’re offering want to give you their email address. For whatever reason they like you and have some degree of trust associated with you. If you know how to build a squeeze page that works well, you can capitalize on this trust and get them to give you their information.

A big part of how to build a squeeze page that works is what you’re offering for your customer’s email address. No one’s going to just fill out your opt-in form and give you their email address just because you asked them. You have to have something they want.

With internet marketers this “thing” usually takes the form of a report or short e-book that has information your customer wants. Of course, in the body of the squeeze page copy you need to explain this. You need to make it clear that you’re offering them, completely for FREE, a report which will tell them stuff they want to know.

Looked at like this, a squeeze page is basically a short sales letter. The “sale” is your getting the email address. What you’re selling is your giveaway. It’s going to “cost” your visitor their email address to get the report.

There’s no real trick to knowing how to build a squeeze page that works. It’s not magic. You just need to explain (usually through bullet points) what your prospect can get by giving up their email address. If you give them more than they feel like they’re giving up, you’ve got a sale. And another email address to sell stuff to over and over again.
