The Resource Box – Lead, Don’t Bore

Your resource box should be a natural progression that entices the reader to want to click thru to your site. If you bore the reader, you lose them, possibly forever.
Does your resource box look like this:
CJ John, author of this article, is a freelance writer and web developer and has been working online for over 10 years. Visit http://articlewritingnews.com for more.
If so, you’ve given your reader no reason to click thru. Believe me, they don’t care who you are and what your history is, at least not at this point.
Even this would be better:
For more information, visit http://articlewritingnews.com
However, it’s not very enticing. Jazz it up with a call to action:
There’s more to this story! Click here for much more. You need this information!
But even better is to entice the reader with a freebie. Try to have something you can give away on your website:
Don’t let _________ happen to you! For more information, and a free report, visit Article Writing News now!
