You Have Written The Article – Now What?
Sep 16th, 2009 | By CJ | Category: Article MarketingSTEP ONE
Let’s assume for a moment you’ve written some articles for the purpose of exposure to your website or as a redirect to an affiliate product. I recommend writing 3 to 5 articles a day. What’s the next step?
Well, the first thing to do is to start submitting them to the article directories. Here’s the plan:
The first article directory I submit articles to is GoArticles.com. Regular readers of mine know that I am an intense EZA-hater, so, my advice is going to be a little different than everyone else’s. Everyone else will tell you to post there first.
You can do that, if you want to. Of course, it will delay your whole marketing momentum by at least a week. That’s how long it takes EZA to get around to approving articles. And I’ve heard horror stories of it taking quite a bit longer at times. Personally, I have better things to do with my time. Like… actually getting my article marketing project up to speed.
So, I post to GoArticles first. Let’s call this first batch of articles posting – Batch One. You’ll see why I need to make that distinction in a second.
On Day Two, I post those Batch One articles to ArticlesBase.com and write a few more articles to post to GoArticles, articles which then become Batch Two.
On Day Three, new articles (Batch Three) go to GoArticles, Batch Two goes to Articlesbase and Batch One goes to Isnare. Do you see where I’m going with this?
Day One – write 5 articles: Batch One
Batch One is submitted to GoArticles.
Day Two – write 5 articles: Batch Two
Batch One is submitted to Isnare,
Batch Two is submitted to GoArticles.
Day Three – write 5 articles: Batch Three
Batch One is submitted to ArticleDashboard,
Batch Two is submitted to Isnare,
Batch Three is submitted to GoArticles.
Day Four – write 5 articles: Batch Four
Batch One is submitted to ArticlesBase,
Batch Two is submitted to ArticleDashboard,
Batch Three is submitted to Isnare,
Batch Four is submitted to GoArticles.
Day Five – write 5 articles: Batch Five
Batch One is submitted to *Buzzle (see NOTE below),
Batch Two is submitted to ArticlesBase,
Batch Three is submitted to ArticleDashboard,
Batch Four is submitted to Isnare.
Batch Five is submitted to GoArticles
Day Six – no writing for this run, unless you want to.
Batch One is done.
Batch Two is submitted to Buzzle,
Batch Three is submitted to ArticlesBase,
Batch Four is submitted to Article Dashboard.
Batch Five is submitted to Isnare
Day Seven –
Batches One and Two are done.
Batch Three to Buzzle,
Batch Four to ArticlesBase.
Batch Five is submitted to ArticleDashboard
Day Eight -
Batches One, Two and Three are done
Batch Four is submitted to Buzzle.
Batch Five is submitted to ArticlesBase
Day Nine –
Batches One, Two, Three and Four are done.
Batch Five is submitted to Buzzle. DONE.
You can do it this way, or you can expand your submissions list and keep on going, although you’ll need to find some stopping point, otherwise, you’ll be spending every waking moment submitting articles. It’s an explosive, exponential growth.
IMPORTANT: You now have 125 articles “out there.” Point the first 5 GoArticles articles at your product page, website, whatever. The remaining 100 articles should all be pointed to the GoArticles articles. Doing so pushes the GoArticles articles to the first page of search engines’ results pages AND KEEPS THEM THERE.
Wait and see what happens. If your product sales and/or traffic increases, you’ve got a winner. Choose some new keywords and (say it with me) Lather, Rinse, Repeat.
If you do not see a traffic increase or more sales, or whatever, dump it and concentrate on another run of articles for another, entirely new product/project.
Here’s a list of article directories and their respective Page Rankings:
GoArticles.com – 6
Isnare.com – 6
ArticleDashboard.com – 5
ArticlesBase.com – 5
Buzzle.com – 5
*NOTE – Buzzle does not accept duplicated content. Change the Title and rewrite the first two paragraphs and you should be fine. It has worked for me this way.
ArticleAlley.com – 5
Site-Reference.com – 5
ArticleCity.com – 5
ArticlesFactory.com – 4
SearchWarp.com – 4
Amazines.com– 2
EZA – 6, but you know how I feel about them.
Okay, that was STEP ONE. Repeat as necessary for each page/site/product you want to market.
STEP TWO will be my next post and will be about Creating lenses/hubpages and Blogspot blogs that all point back to your first 5 article at GoArticles. STAY TUNED! There’s a method to my madness!

Boy, if I was color blind that captcha would be impossible to read. I didn’t go read why you hate EZA. I submit to them and the articles. I do get a lot of traffic from them and they have a good PR.
I have run in to Buzzle rejecting my articles because they saw it as duplicate. As I recall they also take some time to approve the articles.
Anyway, good break down on successfully getting traffic to the site.

I have also find that EZA sends a good amount of traffic. But, the delay is annoying. GoArticles is one of the easiest and most flexible.
Thanks a for a great list of article sites and an amazing posting schedule.

Hello, CD. Thanks for joining us here at Article Writing News!
EZA is a good article directory, no doubt about that. The lag time from submission to approval is a pain is the butt, but their authority position carries a lot of weight. I won’t argue that they are a valuable resource.
My grievance with them is how “uppity” they are. As extreme purists, they are really hung up on themselves and are incredibly elitist.
This is what EZA owner Chris Knight has to say about rewriting one’s own work:
“Pretty much anyone who admits to (rewriting articles) or uses an article rewriter is not an ideal member of our site because a real expert wouldn’t need to rewrite his or her own expertise.”
I’m sorry, I have a problem with that kind of attitude. That’s what my post HERE, about my favourite article directory, is all about.
